Privacy Policy for LAQI

Last updated: October 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how LAQI (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Android app published by ESSA.

The short version: LAQI does not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information. Your favorites and search history stay on your device.

1. About the App

LAQI is an offline-first services directory that helps you find trusted service providers nearby. You can browse categories, areas, and providers, search, save favorites, and contact providers by phone, WhatsApp, or maps.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or request:

3. Information Processed

a) Anonymous usage counts. When you view, call, or share a provider, the App may send an anonymous counter event (provider ID, event type such as view, call, or share, and the date) to our backend hosted on Supabase. These events contain no user identity and cannot be linked to you. Like any internet request, your IP address is temporarily visible to our server and is used only for abuse prevention (rate limiting), not to identify you.

b) Crash reports. The App may use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports (stack traces and basic device state such as device model and OS version, and an installation identifier) to help us find and fix bugs. This data is not used for advertising.

c) Data stored only on your device. The following stays on your device and is never sent to our servers:

We do not use advertising SDKs and we do not sell your data.

5. Actions You Start

When you tap call, WhatsApp, maps, or share, the App opens another app (Phone, WhatsApp, Maps, and so on). Information you provide there is handled by that app under its own privacy policy.

6. Permissions

LAQI requests only:

7. Data Retention and Deletion

8. Security

All network communication uses HTTPS. We do not store secrets or credentials on your device. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the data we handle.

9. Children’s Privacy

LAQI is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us at redaessa.dev@gmail.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change, and significant changes will be reflected in the App or on this page.
